SAT tutoring for students in Riyadh
One-to-one Digital SAT tuition taught live in Riyadh time, by one named tutor who covers both halves of the test. Riyadh's problem is rarely finding preparation — it is that the group courses available locally are built for a different student.
What is different about preparing in Riyadh
Riyadh has a large concentration of international schools — British, American and IB curricula side by side — and a correspondingly large cohort sitting the SAT each year. It has several test centres, which sounds like an advantage and mostly translates into competition for the seats.
The consequence is that SAT preparation is easy to buy here and hard to buy well. Group courses run to a fixed syllabus for a room of students at different scores, working through the same shortcut material. That is genuinely effective for a student at 1100 with broad content gaps. It tends to stall in the 1400s, because by that point two students with the same score are losing marks for completely different reasons, and a syllabus cannot address either of them specifically.
The second thing that is specific to Riyadh is the calendar. A large number of students here are following IB or A level alongside the SAT, which rules out more of the year than families expect.

Lesson times in Riyadh
Riyadh is on UTC+3 and does not change clocks. That places a Riyadh evening squarely inside a UK working afternoon, which is the whole reason a fixed weekly slot is sustainable here: the lesson is not being squeezed into the far end of anyone's day. After-school slots from four in the afternoon onwards are the ones students book most, and weekend lessons are available for students carrying a heavy weekday load.

If the score is already in the 1400s
This is the most common enquiry from Riyadh, and it is a different problem from the one a course solves. Above 1400 the lost marks stop clustering by topic and start clustering by cause — misreads, slips, judgment calls under time — which means the fix is diagnostic before it is instructional. For a first sitting, about four to six months of regular weekly work is a realistic window alongside a full school timetable. Altair Prep generally recommends starting in the autumn of the year before application and treating an autumn or winter sitting as the main attempt, which leaves a spring date free as a resit without colliding with IB or A level examinations in May and June.
Does Ramadan affect SAT preparation in Saudi Arabia?
It affects the schedule rather than the plan. Ramadan moves roughly eleven days earlier each year: it overlaps the March sitting in 2026 and 2027, then moves back into January and February from 2028, clearing the spring test date. The practical response is to check the sitting against the expected dates early, shift lesson times later in the evening for that month, and avoid scheduling a full-length mock in the final week before a test that falls inside it.
Can lessons fit around a Riyadh school timetable?
Yes, and it is usually the school week rather than the clock that decides which slot works.
