SAT tutoring for students in Bangalore

Bangalore's SAT cohort is heavily weighted towards engineering and computer science applications. Students from the international schools, Canadian International, Stonehill, TISB, Indus, Inventure and Mallya Aditi among them, and from strong CBSE and ICSE schools across the city, are frequently applying to US universities for STEM, often with a parent who works in the technology industry and knows exactly which universities they mean.

That produces a very specific score profile. The Math is usually excellent, and often already at or near 800 before any tutoring, because the content is well below what an Indian school has covered. The Reading and Writing score is the problem, and it is a problem that batch coaching handles badly, because it teaches the verbal section as a set of rules and the hardest questions on the Digital SAT are written to look like the rule and then break it.

What moves the verbal score is a native English speaker watching an individual student read an individual passage, live, and correcting the habit rather than the answer. That is what these lessons are, and the Math is taught by the same tutor as a precision-and-pacing problem rather than a content one.
